Generally a good mechanic will have had between 3 and 5 years experience of working as either an auto, forklift or heavy equipment mechanic. It is vital that they are able to read blueprints along with installation and processing sheets and wiring diagrams. They will also be willing to carry out the work required of them at any time of night or day. Certainly they should be someone who is able to work with little or no supervision whatsoever.

By doing this you are assured that they will have a better understanding of any problems that may arise in relation to the vehicles and the conditions in which they work.
